harvest

FEBRUARY 2023 | SCENE+HEARD FESTIVAL, SMOCK ALLEY THEATRE, DUBLIN

JUNE 2023 | THE GREENHOUSE THEATRE, LONDON

love is cruel; nature is crueller.

harvest looks at our connection to each other and the natural world: part queer love story, part ecological fairytale, harvest is woven together with live original music and playful storytelling.

harvest follows laura, lizzie, jeanie, and a band of goblins. laura and lizzie live together in a self-sufficient community in the woods, where they live off the land and keep to themselves. it’s nice there. they like it. jeanie lives in the goblin world. here, it’s always summer. there’s fruit from all over the globe available to eat at any time. it’s better here. probably. but lizzie grows tempted – she wants a bite.

inspired by christina rossetti’s “goblin market,” gift horse theatre present harvest. can we escape our future? can we escape our environment? what would happen if we did?
